The Salt Lake City airport is currently undergoing a major remodel which will basically replace the existing airport. The new terminal building will have vaulted glass walls that offer beautiful views of the Wasatch Mountains. The airport will be easire to use, more efficient and sustainable with a LEED gold certification as the goal.
The new park and wait area has already been completed and includeds a gas station, convenience store, and fast food options.
The new airport is scheduled to be complete by the fall of 2020. Easy accessibility to the mountains and skiing is a big plus for skiers, tourists visiting Utah, and the Salt Lake City Olympic bid for 2030.
